CAM Environmental maintains a number of professional certifications and state licenses. Some projects involve activities that are state regulated and require a state license. On other projects, certification or accreditation from a professional organization such as the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) assures consistent and audited procedures and methodologies. 

 

The certifications and licenses held by CAM Environmental Services include those listed from the following agencies and organizations:

 

American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA)

The American Industrial Hygiene Association is a national professional organization that audits industrial hygiene and environmental laboratories for analytical quality and accuracy. AIHA programs include periodic site audits as well as Proficiency Analytical Tests (PAT samples). CAM Environmental participates and is accredited in the following AIHA programs:

Industrial Hygiene Laboratory Accreditation Program Certification # 526 which includes the analysis of asbestos fibers by Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) according to NIOSH Method 7400.

Environmental Lead Laboratory Accreditation (ELLAP) Program Certification # 526 for the analysis of lead in paint chips, dust wipes, airborne dust, or soil samples by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) as specified by NIOSH Method 7082.

National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP)

The US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) administers NVLAP, a program designed to audit and accredit the quality assurance systems of analytical laboratories. This program includes periodic site visits and methodology reviews. CAM Environmental is NVLAP accredited for the analysis of the following:

Bulk Asbestos Fibers Certification # 200240-0 by Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM).

Asbestos. Although the LDEQ does not have a license comparable to the TDSHS Asbestos Consultant Agency, CAM is able to provide a full range of asbestos-related consulting services by having the following types of LDEQ-licensed personnel on staff:

Accredited Asbestos Laboratory # 04058 allowing us to perform the analysis of the following types of asbestos samples:
