CAM Environmental has created a variety of articles and newsletters designed to help people understand and manage various environmental issues.  Please review these and let us know if they've helped out or if you would like to see something on a specific issue. 

 


 

Articles

CAM personnel have authored a number of technical and informative articles that have been published in respected industry journals including the following:

 

The Nov/Dec 2005 issue of the Facility Management Journal (FMJ) carried an article by Hiram Perez titled "Asbestos: The Hidden Budget Buster." This article provides guidance on how a building owner can manage asbestos in place in his or her building.

When the Texas Mold Remediation and Assessment Rules were implemented, CAM's Bill Davis authored an article discussing the impact on property managers and building owners. This article is titled "Got Mold? Now You Need a License to Remove It!" and it was published in the Spring 2005 issue of Office and Commercial Real Estate magazine.

The American Industrial Magazine (http://www.watchdognews.net/), or AIM, has published a number of articles about CAM Environmental. These include:

AIM CoverThe November 2003 issue contains a case study of a CAM project performed at the Williams Refinery in North Pole, Alaska.  It's titled "Managing Hydroblast Water During Turnarounds - A Case Study" and describes how CAM helped augment the environmental staff during a major plant turnaround. 

AIM CoverCAM's article "Turnaround and Maintenance Support Services" in Volume 3 Issue 3 describes the types of environmental issues usually encountered during industrial turnarounds and maintenance activities.  Issues that should be planned for before maintenance activities begin include safety, IH, environmental, asbestos, and lead. 

AIM CoverVolume 3 Issue 2 contains CAM's article titled "Keeping Employees Safe on the Job."  This article describes the problem of managing contractor safety on large projects and lists some of the things CAM has done to remedy this situation.

 

 


 

WhitePapers

Whitepapers by CAM Environmental ServicesWhitepapers are discussions, position statements, or technical summaries on a variety of environmental topics. These include the following:

 

"A Guide to the Texas Mold Regulations" gives a short 4-page summary of the Texas Mold Regulations including when the regs apply and when they do not as well as the roles of the Assessment Consultant and the Remediation Contractor.

"The Mold Remediation Protocol: A Guide for Contractors" is a 4-page checklist of things that every Mold Remediation Protocol must contain according to the Texas Mold Regulations. A must for every Remediation Contractor.

Other Publicaitons

The "Texas Mold Assessment and Remediation Rules" were recently updated so the "CAM version" is no longer available at this site. Please download the latest version of the Mold Regs directly from the Mold Website of the Texas Department of State Health Services.

 

This 9-page document is CAM Environmental's complete Statement of Qualifications (SOQ). It contains much of the same information found in the Services section of this website in a convenient PDF format.
