Data Management

Description

Modern instrumentation and field techniques are capable of generating a significant amount of site data within a very short period of time.  As all that data flows in from a variety of sources and begins to quickly accumulate, the challenge then becomes:  “How do you convert that raw site data into trends, predictions, and forecasts – all useful information that can be used to make informed decisions?”

To help manage the constant flow of project and site data, CAM Environmental has the capability to develop either stand-alone or web-based data management systems that are designed to meet your project-specific goals and criteria.

BP Amoco (Texas City)

CAM Data ManagerDuring this plant-wide asbestos survey, we developed a custom Data Management System to track the results from more than 45,000 bulk samples taken at the Texas City facility.  Field data was seamlessly merged with analytical data providing a data system that was relevant to plant operations, easy to query, and easy to keep updated.

East Baton Rouge Parish School System, LA

EBR School SystemA complete inventory of asbestos containing materials (ACM) for the entire school system is tracked electronically.  Floor plans, sampled areas, and sample results are readily accessible from any school computer.  Abatement and clearance reports are scanned and linked to abated areas keeping the system up-to-date and reliable.

University of Houston

University of HoustonAs part of the Tropical Storm Allison recovery efforts, over 1,000 samples for mold and fungal growth were taken at 54 different buildings.  All sample locations, field notes, diagrams, and sample results were tracked electronically in order to produce timely reports, conclusions, and recommendations for the Facilities & Maintenance Department as well as for University Management.
